Artist’s Bio:
Wendy MacCordy lives in Fairfield, CT and has lived in Fairfield County for over 28 years. Wendy majored in Art History and Fine Arts at Dickinson College. She then continued her studies at the Parson School of Design in New York, New York. Her specialty is watercolors and has expanded her love of art into oil paintings over the last several years, particularly with pet portraits and landscapes. Wendy currently is a faculty member at Silvermine Arts Center in New Canaan, CT where she has taught for over 12 years.
Wendy loves the spontaneous beauty of the watercolor medium as well as enjoys the texture of oil painting. Wendy has painted in a studio environment surrounded by fellow artists for many years. Wendy’s professional organizations include the National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America, Lyme Art Association and she is an exhibiting member of Rowayton Arts Center.
