During the past 50 years, I have worked primarily with acrylic and plein-air watercolor painting. I also enjoy painting with collage, landscape plan drawing, printmaking and photography. The variations of light on surfaces, the forms, colors, textures, sounds and experiences found in cultivated gardens and in the natural landscape have inspired me wherever I have traveled. Places that I have visited in Redding and Easton, Weir Farm in Wilton and on to Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont are seen in both plein air watercolor and acrylic on canvas. I have attempted to incorporate the feeling of being in a woodland, a meadow, along a brook or pond, or near the sea – the uniqueness of time and place and the elements there.
Artwork: My work has been displayed at local venues and juried shows in the Fairfield County area. I have exhibited my artwork at Redding’s Mark Twain Library Art Show; Silvermine Sch. of Art; Easton Arts Council, Ridgefield Guild of Artists, Richter Art Assoc., Kent Art Association, Rowayton Art Association, Stamford Art Assoc., Trinity Lime Rock Juried Show, Junior League Shows- Fairfield and Hartford, Fairfield Hist. Soc.
