53rd Annual Mark Twain Library Art Show
Artist’s Bio:
There is so much beauty—and so little time. Beauty can be found everywhere you look: in the slanting rays of a setting sun, a bag of apples, or a weathered old barn. My goal is to capture that beauty before the sky fades, the fruit rots, or the barns are torn down.
A longtime Connecticut resident, Nancy has been painting the beauty she encounters wherever she travels, though Connecticut is her home base. She has received awards from SCAN, Connecticut Pastel Society, Lyme Art Association, Art Society of Old Greenwich, and Connecticut Plein Air Painters. She paints landscapes, still lifes, and interiors in both pastel and oil. As a member of the Putney Painters, she finds support, inspiration, and camaraderie among fellow artists.
“Painting from life is vital, as that is where the excitement of light and depth of color lives. My paintings are like stories or good jokes; they are better when shared.”
