Artist’s Bio:
My love for painting began the summer after eighth grade, though it came out of an unexpected place: a dramatic bicycle crash into a guardrail that left me sidelined for months. My mom, a talented artist herself, pulled out her paints to keep me busy—and, as she later confessed, “out of her hair.” What started as a way to pass the time became a lifelong passion and a bond between us that I’ll always treasure.
Over the years, inspiration has come from many places, but none more than Cuttyhunk Island—a hidden New England gem we’ve visited annually for over two decades. Its quiet harbors, windswept shores, and unspoiled beauty have fueled countless paintings and deepened our love for the island. Each year, I donate a canvas print to the Cuttyhunk Historical Society’s fundraising gala, a small way to give back to a place that has given us so much joy.
Barns have also captured my heart. For more than 20 years, I worked alongside the Northford Timberframers, helping raise over 30 traditional Yankee timber frame barns throughout New England. Two of my farm scenes are rooted in my family’s agrarian heritage in upstate New York, celebrating the landscapes that shaped generations before me.
