Artist’s Bio:
Ronnie S. Maddalena
Litchfield County, CT resident Ronnie Maddalena has been painting her whole life. Her early artistic inspiration came from her mother, an accomplished painter and musician. Growing up in a home filled with colorful paintings, eclectic furnishings, and classical music influenced her artistic expressions and guided her career in the arts.
After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in Design and Environmental Analysis, she began her career as a graphic designer in northern New Jersey, eventually launching her own design and marketing firm serving corporate clients in the metro New York area.
While living in New Jersey, she was a member of the Ridgewood Art Association and studied with landscape painter John Phillip Osborne. After relocating to Litchfield County in 2005, Ronnie started a new design and marketing firm, Social Comments, providing creative services to the local business and non-profit communities. Much of her non-profit work led to her being named one of the 50 Most Influential People in Litchfield County in 2014. She also discovered a vibrant new artistic community and served on the board of the Washington Art Association, where she continues her painting and printmaking studies.
In addition to her painting and work as a branding and design consultant, Ronnie is a founding member of the Farmer’s Table, a non-profit organization that celebrates and supports local farmers in Litchfield County. Through funds raised at annual farm dinners, the Farmer’s Table promotes community engagement with local food producers and supports farmers by providing essential networking and educational opportunities.
