Artist’s Bio:
Patricia Maden
Lewisboro, NY
I was born in the ecological wonder that is Ecuador, and I spent my early years in a small town before moving to the capital. In 1998, I moved to New York City, and since 2018, I’ve called Lewisboro, NY, home. As an emerging artist, I am drawn to landscapes, using my work to explore the beauty of everyday life and nature.
My formal art education began at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, NY, where I earned a Computer Art Certificate. I also attended the Graphic Design program at SUNY New Paltz, and later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, NY. My journey as a landscape artist truly took shape at the Katonah Art Center in Mount Kisco, NY, where I immersed myself in the acrylic medium.
In addition to my artistic pursuits, I have worked as a graphic designer and playground designer, experiences that have greatly influenced the way I approach my artwork. Nature is my constant source of inspiration, and my passion for art is ever-evolving. While I appreciate the structured environment of a studio, painting in plein air continues to refine my expressive style, color choices, textures and compositions. I am currently working on a landscape piece inspired by Ogunquit, Maine.
Currently, I work in Human Resources for Pelham Public Schools, where I transitioned into a management role. This experience further informs my creative practice, balancing structure with creativity in both my professional and artistic endeavors.
