Artist’s Bio:
Having begun painting upon retirement several years ago, I am still defining myself as an artist. My work continues to evolve as I investigate different techniques, styles, and subject matter, but I am especially drawn to capturing the intimacy of portraits and beauty of flowers. Behind every portrait I paint is an untold story which begs to be told. Flowers, to me, speak of life’s impermanence, having to be enjoyed in the moment. Painting them allows the memory to be sustained and enjoyed.
In the short time I have been painting, I have exhibited in many juried shows, won awards and have been invited to become a member of the Salmagundi Club in New York. My work is also shown in galleries and part of private collections.
