53rd Annual Mark Twain Library Art Show
Artist’s Bio:
Katushka Millones is a contemporary artist based in Brookfield, Connecticut. Originally from Lima, Peru, her work reflects joy, peace, and the vibrant spirit of the places and moments she cherishes.
Her dreamlike landscapes, mixed media objects, and paintings feature lyrical colors and explore themes of nature, memory, time, tension, harmony, and the female experience.
Her creative process is shaped by joy, peace, nostalgia, solace, and deep spirituality, often expressed through light, shadow, color, and texture. She combines direct observation, emotional recollection, and imagination, using a variety of media and techniques.
“My latest body of work captures the flow of time as a series of events, thoughts, and emotions, collapsing moments that would normally be isolated in time and space. The images blend past and future, creating an intricate pattern that transcends linear time and evokes distinct periods of my life.
My intention is to inspire observers to explore their own memories, emotions, and dreams, fueled by their unique experiences and future prospects”.
With over 20 years of experience as a fine artist, Katushka also holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from a leading university in Peru, graduating with honors.
Katushka is an award-winning artist whose work has been exhibited and collected in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Alabama, Montreal, and other locations. She continues to expand internationally while also teaching art at her private studio in Connecticut.
